The Indian Postal Department is going to recruit a total of 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevaks (Rural Postal Workers) across 23 postal circles in the country. The merit list or results for this recruitment are expected to be released soon. Candidates will be able to find their merit list on the official website of India Post at

Process for Preparing the Merit List:


The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the 10th grade. The calculation will be done with precision up to four decimal places. The Indian Postal Department has not yet confirmed the date for the release of the merit list, but it could be announced at any time.

Step 2: Click the Link: Click on the 'India Post GDS Merit List 2024' link on the homepage (which will be activated soon).

Step 3: View the Merit List: A new page will open where you can view the merit list in PDF format.

Step 4: Download: Download the merit list and keep a printed copy for your records. 
After the Merit List is Released:

Candidates whose names appear in the merit list will have to undergo a physical verification process. The dates for the verification will likely be announced along with the merit list. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website for the latest updates.

Salary and Benefits:


The salary for the Rural Dak Sevak positions will range from ₹12,000 to ₹16,000 per month, depending on the position and location. In addition, benefits such as medical insurance and allowances may be provided according to government rules. 

Eligibility and Application Information:


To apply for this recruitment, candidates must have passed the 10th grade from a recognized board. The minimum age should be 18 years and the maximum age should be 40 years, with age relaxation for reserved categories. The age limit may vary depending on the post.
